Pit Bull Swallows Kentucky boy’s Nose

Posted on February 4th, 2013 No Comments

A 10-year-old boy lost his nose in early January after a dog aggressively attacked him and bit off his nose in Henderson County, Kentucky.

Matthew Weaver was playing with his friends when a pit bull attacked him, ripping off his nose and swallowing it. Weaver’s nose was successfully put back 0n by the surgeons at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville after the nose had been recovered from the dog’s stomach once veterinarians had put the dog to sleep.

According to the dog’s owner, the dog had never shown signs of aggression for as long as they had owned it.

Unfortunately, anyone can suffer the painful and often serious repercussions of a dog bite. If this has happened to you or a loved one, call a dog bite lawyer from the Sampson Law Firm at 502-584-5050.
