Jeffersontown teen dies in motocross crash

Posted on January 9th, 2012 No Comments

A 17 year-old senior at Jeffersontown High School was killed last week in a tragic motocross accident.

The teen was participating in a motocross race in Georgia with his classmates involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes motocross team when the accident occurred. A witness to the crash and a close friend said that he lost control of the bike and flipped over the handle bars before the bike landed on him.

The high school student was one of the founding members of his school’s FCA motocross team. Friends, family members, and faculty say they remember him as a popular student known for his volunteerism and active participation in school clubs.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the young victim.
